- EVAP EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM – INSPECT – [Check all fuel and vapor lines and hoses for proper hook-up, routing, and condition. Check that the purge valve, if the vehicle has one, works properly. Replace as needed.] AIR CLEANER/ELEMENT – REPLACE – [If the vehicle is not equipped with the engine air filter life system, replace the filter every 45,000 miles or 48 months, whichever comes first. If driving in dusty conditions, inspect the filter at each oil change or more often as needed.] AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID – REPLACE – [Replace fluid when vehicle is driven under any of these conditions: Mainly driven in heavy city traffic in hot weather. Mainly driven in hilly or mountainous terrain. Frequently towing a trailer. Used for high speed or competitive driving. Used for taxi, police, or delivery service. Replace filter if serviceable.] CABIN AIR FILTER – REPLACE – [Replace every 22,500 miles or every 24 months, whichever comes first. More frequent replacement may be needed if the vehicle is driven in areas with heavy traffic, areas with poor air quality, or areas with high dust levels. Do not directly power wash the transfer case and/or front/rear axle output seals. High pressure water can overcome the seals and contaminate the transfer case fluid. Contaminated fluid will decrease the life of the transfer case and/or axles and should be replaced.]
